How do I charge for web hosting with a reseller account?
Hi,
Using a reseller account like Host Gator, how much should I charge for web hosting? Can I charge as low as I want?
Regards

You should give your pricing a lot of thought. Make a business plan and see what all your costs are + see what price is acceptable to you and enough to make a profit.

You are the one who decides the prices of the hosting plans which you create under your Reseller account. So you can plan your profit margins and set the cost accordingly.

You can charge anything you want, yes, but it is advisable not to oversell your available resources, and to price your plans high enough to turn a profit.

This is something up to you. As V7HOST wrote make a business plan and stick to it.
Dont overprice your packages. Just think that you want to buy a hosting and you will find how much you would like to sell them

Bit of an old thread but I'll add some thoughts. As already said, you'll need to include costs + margin in the price you charge. The hosting provider may offer different services, some including a "white label" control panel you can give to your clients (for things like passwords or creating mailboxes), and some even providing tools to create your own pages to sell services, arrange billing etc. If you intend to offer extra services like web design, fully managed accounts etc, you'll obviously want to price higher to reflect that.

Many people thought that getting a reseller hosting means that they have to act as a provider and sell hosting packages and if they don't succeed in that, they will be let with a huge amount of space.

I think big companies don't take a good care of their customers.
